The application period for the Academic Year 2019 ASEAN Scholarships for Vietnam is from 21 February 2018 (9.00 am) to 12 April 2018 (10.00 pm) Vietnam Time.

The ASEAN Scholarships for Vietnam is tenable for 4 years leading to the award of the Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education Advanced (GCE A-Level) (or equivalent) certificate.
The Scholarship is for studies in selected Singapore schools from Secondary 3 to Pre-University 2 and is renewed annually, subject to the satisfactory performance of the scholar.
Students from Vietnam who wish to enter Singapore schools at the Secondary 3 Level for the academic year of 2019 are welcome to apply.
Eligibility
Students who meet the following criteria are invited to apply for the scholarship:
- Nationals of Vietnam
- Born between 2002 to 2004
- Completed at least Grade 8 of Lower Secondary Education
- Have done consistently well in their school examinations
- Proficient in English and a good record of participation in co-curricular activities

Candidates short-listed for the selection test / interview will be notified at least 1 week before the selection test / interview dates. We regret that only short-listed candidates will be notified.
APPLICATION PROCEDURES
There are 2 modes of application – online and hardcopy application. Please submit your application through only one mode. For example, do not submit a hard copy application if you have already applied online.
Applicants are strongly encouraged to apply online via the online application system.

Applicants who do not have internet access may obtain the hardcopy forms from the Embassy of the Republic of Singapore in Hanoi.

Important Note
All completed hard copy applications are to be submitted together with certified copies of the following items directly to Singapore Ministry of Education:
- Birth Certificate;
- Identity Card / Passport (if any); and
- School Examination Result Slips for the last two years

Hardcopy applications submitted without the certified copies will be deemed incomplete and will not be processed. Original documents that are not in English must be officially translated. The translations must be accompanied by a photocopy of the original documents. Please do not send any original documents.
All hardcopy applications and certified copies of the supporting documents should reach Singapore Ministry of Education before the closing date of 12 April 2018.
